ABOUT

IMPACTFUL RESEARCH AND THOUGHT LEADERSHIP

CLoCCS is based on the fundamental assumption that the coming years are going to be critical in ensuring a Net-zero emissions future and a sustainable world for all. The Centre aims to promote the development of legislation and policy in the area of climate change and sustainability in order to accelerate climate action as well as to increase the understanding of a wide range of stakeholders of the legal challenges that accompany climate change and sustainability-related issues.

CLoCCS is an impact-oriented research centre that conducts leading legal research and thought leadership on climate change and sustainability challenges. It is borne out of the realisation that lawyers can make vital contributions by streamlining legal processes and eradicating unnecessary legal hurdles to facilitate meaningful climate action. The Centre aims to bridge the gap between academia and influential stakeholders like enterprises and government to help shape legal reform.
