Baselines and Climate Change

The project discusses baselines and climate change in a monograph, Climate Change and Maritime Boundaries, but also address the topic specifically in a chapter of the forthcoming Cambridge Handbook on the Law of the Sea. This work outlines the rules applicable to baselines and outer maritime limits and explains the impact of sea level rise on the stability of such limits. Recent state practice is very important in this context because it is departing from age-old practice and potentially altering the law.
